Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone has a restful and joyful Thanksgiving weekend!

Reminder: Library is on Tuesday and Picture Day is Wednesday!

This week students made Turkey Glyphs based on their own family Thanksgiving likes and traditions. The colour of feathers they chose for their turkey actually represent Thanksgiving foods they like. For example, a red feather means they like apple pie, and a green feather means they like green beans. After making their turkeys, students tallied the class data and made bar graphs! This is all part of our data management unit in math. Here are the results:

Looks like corn is the most popular Thanksgiving food amongst our class!

Some pictures from our trip to the GNE...

Welcome to a new school year!

September was a busy month of getting to know each other, learning routines, and working hard! We are off to a great start! From now on, I will post information to this blog rather than sending home newsletters. I will also post photos from field trips or school events whenever possible! It was great to meet many parents and family members at "Meet the Teacher" night! As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
